for a time of food, fellowship and friendship. Club Business is conducted, ideas are shared and members are informed about important local, regional and global issues impacting our world. These programs often include presentations from local community members, representatives from worthwhile organizations and reports from fellow Rotarians who are promoting club-sponsored initiatives. The information from the weekly Rotary programs prove to be an important part of each Rotarian’s overall club experience. Today Rotary actively supports the local community by promoting literacy programs, providing roadside cleanups and providing support to worthwhile organizations. The Oregon Rotary Club also actively supports numerous worldwide humanitarian projects like Polio Eradication and Shelter Box.
“Service Above Self” is what Rotary is all about. Those who join will experience warm fellowship amongst like-minded individuals as well as the opportunity to help make our community and our world a better place.
